On Thu, 17.9.2026 and Mon, 21.9.2026 from 19:00 in our gym. Take a look at the school, get to know us and ask all your questions. Children are very welcome!
Registration
During the registration period 29.9.–15.10.2026 in the school office, Mon–Thu 8:15–11:00. Important: come WITHOUT your child. Please bring: birth certificate, proof of measles vaccination and a little time.

Getting to know each other
At the get-to-know-you appointment WITH your child (and 2–3 other children), we play a few games – clapping rhymes, the “ladder game”, counting glass pebbles – tell each other funny things and discover special strengths. Maybe we’ll even climb the climbing net!
We want your child to remember this day happily. You are welcome to stay with your child, or meet other parents over coffee, tea or water in our team room in the meantime.
First day of school
The school enrolment ceremony takes place class by class – outside if the weather is dry, in our gym if it rains. Each new school child can bring 3–4 companions, and more are welcome if the weather is good. The class teachers will contact you beforehand to arrange a home visit!

Are there enough OGS places?
Yes, every child who should go to the OGS will get a place!
What kind of school bag does my child need?
A normal backpack that fits an A4 exercise book, plus a lunch box and a water bottle, is all your child needs as a school bag.
Do we need to buy school supplies?
NO. We provide enough supplies for all children in every class, and we use things sustainably: drawing pad, paint box, brushes, coloured pencils and pencils, erasers, tissues, exercise books, folders … For this, we collect a small amount of money. Your child’s own pencil case is fine, of course, but not necessary!
What is lunch like?
Along with a fresh counter, there is varied, healthy food every day. We pay attention to organic quality and make sure there is a vegetarian option every day. If your child doesn’t like the food at all, there is always muesli (with cow’s milk or plant-based milk).
When can I bring my child if they go to the OGS?
From 7:00. Your child should be in class by 8:15 at the latest.
When can I pick up my child if they go to the OGS?
Monday to Thursday until 16:25, Fridays until 15:25. You may also pick up your child earlier. At the start of the school year, we ask on which days and how long your child will stay – changes are no problem.
Are there holiday activities?
Yes! Our holiday activities take place in the last three weeks of the summer holidays and during the entire autumn and Easter holidays. The school is closed during the Christmas holidays. The holiday activities always have a theme and are a nice change from everyday school life!
How do I register for the holiday activities?
Registration is central for all of Bielefeld. With an OGS place, you can use holiday activities from 1.8. of the year your child starts school – so already in the summer holidays before school starts. You can also book holiday activities at other schools. Register and choose right at the start of the registration period: ogs-ferienangebote-bielefeld.de
Where can I get the Deutschlandticket?
Children at city schools can apply for the “DeutschlandTicket Schule”. It is valid all over Germany on all buses, trams and local trains (2nd class, not ICE/IC/Flixbus) – all day, also in free time, at weekends and during the holidays.
It is free for primary school children whose way to the nearest school is more than 2 km (because of our temporary location, possibly also for shorter distances – checked case by case), and for holders of a Bielefeld-Pass and people receiving SGB II or SGB XII benefits with a right to school travel costs. If you pay yourself, it currently costs 38 € per month.
